Requirements
Must:
- I have achieved a minimum of a 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline from a Russell Group university, backed by A's at A-level.
- I am a technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem-solving while working on complex, distributed systems.
- I possess Python coding skills along with experience in at least one other object-oriented programming language, such as C#, Java, or C++.
- I have experience working with Artificial Intelligence and a strong enthusiasm for the possibilities of AI in real-world applications.
- I have a data-centric mindset and a solid understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- I am knowledgeable in modern software engineering best practices and have experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- I have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms.
- I am excited about the prospect of joining a start-up in a role that I can shape and influence.
Responsibilities
- I will join a new team responsible for evaluating and integrating AI and LLM Machine Learning functionality into our proprietary trading systems.
- I will engage in various Greenfield development projects and have an impactful role in improving systems and processes.
- I will collaborate with a talented team while pursuing continual learning and self-development opportunities.
Description
I am looking for an AI Engineer with a first-class education who is eager to progress their career by working on complex and interesting AI systems in an impactful role. Joining a FinTech start-up with secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client offers a fantastic opportunity. Our new office in Central Newcastle provides a collaborative environment with proper amenities, fantastic views, and flexibility in working hours. In this role, I will earn a competitive salary of up to £200,000 (negotiable), a bonus, 25 days of holiday, healthcare, and a generous pension contribution.
